O-A Retirement extension, health insurance, and money proof

Featured Replies

1.  Just by following the relevant discussions on TV I had the impression that health insurance is mandatory for new applicants from there home country only. Did I get that so wrong? I am 80, married to Thai wife since 40 years, and my pension allows me to pay any hospital expenses myself.

Asking for extension of stay now, I am told, no insurance, no stay. Yet two days of research/phone calls show that no co. is willing to accept me, even with lots of exclusions.
Can I hope for some good advice from somebody?

2.  They also did not accept my Kasikorn Bank documentation for those 800.000 Baht, arguing suddenly I must use my SCB book etc like last time. Does that make any sense?  It looks like made-up, really.
