webfact Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 Myanmar man arrested for knife attack slaying of former wife's grandson, 11 Picture: Sanook The man who slashed the neck of an 11 year old boy with a knife has been arrested in Si Racha. Wan, 51, from Myanmar has admitted losing his temper and attacking Thanawat, aged just 11, on April 5th. The victim was found dead in woods in the Nong Kham area. The victim was the grandson of Wan's former partner. He fled following the attack but a police hunt, utilizing CCTV, tracked him down to a house in Si Racha town after the murderer caught a song thaew. Yesterday a contingent of twenty police led by Chonburi deputy chief Pol Col Thitawat Suriyachai made the arrest and led the suspect to the Nong Kham police station and a reenactment of the crime.
