Covid-19: Just ten of Thailand's provinces remain virus free

Just ten of Thailand's provinces are free of known coronavirus cases.

There were eleven a couple of days ago but Satun in the far south now has a case.

The person was a returnee from a religious event that had been set to take place in Indonesia.

Many people who returned from Indonesia have tested positive.

So now there are just ten provinces left and are as follows:

Nan bordering Laos in the far north of Thailand; Bung Kan in the north east; Kamphaengphet and Phijit in the upper central region; Ang Thong, Chainat and Singburi in the central region; Trat at the far end of the eastern seaboard where many foreigners are holed up; Ranong and Phangnga in the south.

Then it's time to start testing there and also in other provinces.

If you don’t test you cannot report.  That seems to be the method the Thais are using.

actually thais are ultra sensitive and usually report to the doctor for the slightest discomfort & the usual overpriced tylanols! thus I don't think there's extraordinary high shadow numbers or infections going unnoticed ???? and now with free testing and free treatments money is not a detergent, but perhaps the 14 day fear of quarantine ????

And now for the rest of the story they’re not testing their TIT

.........money is not a detergent........

I wish it was, I left ThB 100 note in a shirt pocket and washed it in the machine this morning ????

zero test, zero positive

magical thailand

please come again

Utter BS.

No testing, no cases.

It was reported earlier that the government has a stated policy of selective testing.

You need universal testing.

I bet this is happening in more countries then people think.

I have a friend in California he was not feeling well.  Fever, etc.

He went to the hospital and they told him to go home, rest, take pills for his fever, and come back if he had problems breathing.  No test was ever given to him.  He recovered fine about 10 days later, but is sure he had it.

The same policy is operating in the UK. Stay home and isolated, come back to hospital when your breathing is seriously restricted.

It seems desperate uncaring advice but helps by not clogging up hospital beds.

Unfortunately for some, this final stage is too late
