Govt rushes to allocate face masks to medical personnel

BANGKOK(NNT) - The Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) convened a meeting this week of the ad hoc committee on the management of supply for the prevention, control or treatment of Covid-19.

 

PMO Permanent Secretary Theeraphat Prayoonsitthi chaired the meeting which was attended by Commerce Ministry Permanent Secretary Bunyarit Kanlayanamit, as the head of the Product Control Operations Center, COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), along with relevant agencies to consider management of supply for the prevention, control or treatment of Covid-19.

 

The committee discussed the adjustment of the face mask distribution pattern. A total of 1.5 million face masks will be distributed to the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of the Interior per day. One million face masks will be distributed to public service personnel and officials who screen for risk groups.
