Overpaid tax, get back before next year???

Featured Replies

I lost my job end of February and am owed about 90k in tax, I know I can claim back when I submit the tax return next year but would prefer to get back now (while it still has some value!)

Does anyone know how to do this? I have the withholding tax certificate from my old company.

Also what happens if I were to leave Thailand, there must be a way to claim this early for people who plan to leave?

Thanks

I guess you will need to submit a tax return in order to trigger the tax refund.

Try help from an accountant.

If you are no longer working you can submit your tax return anytime.

They are very efficient & you will get a filled in form (similar to a bank cheque) which

you take to your bank preferably KTB & presto credited immediately.

If you have taken another position unless you are leaving the country have to wait until February next year
