No, that's not what the WHO said.

It appears they repeated what China told them.   Which they tweeted at 7:18 am on January 14, 2020

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China????????.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China????????.

They forwarded in their Twitter newsfeed  information from the only source available. They clear showed that is was "Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities", so it was preliminary, not final investigation and it was conducted by the Chinese authorities, not by WHO. So they made very clear what the status of the investigation was and what was the source (not the WHO). The information included also stated "no clear evidence" which is not the same as "there is no".

So no, the WHO did not tell there was no H2H transmission.

During the same period of time, they also made their OWN statements about it

Regardless of how badly the WHO mucked up, this isn't the time to pull funding.  It is, however an election year, and moves like this pander to Trump's base.

I'd be all for pulling funding after the pandemic, to force other nations to pick up their fair share.  But not in the middle of a pandemic.  And not when it smacks of politics.

That's great. The more the private sector steps up and the less the taxpayer pays is a win-win. If any of the others like Bloomberg chip in the American portion of the  W.H.O. will be fully funded by the private sector.

Trump could also pitch in. But considering his record on charity i doubt it.

At least he (that monster as you said) is doing something for the country  and its people.

The only thing i hear him doing is blaming china.

He has tried to give some governors some of what they requested, as long as they bow and kiss his ring. But otherwise he hasnt instigated any measures himself. In fact he says the opposite of the experts he appointed.

A fruit fly could do what he has done.
