Isuzu Motors (Thailand) will soon resume manufacturing operations at its two plants, Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Co Ltd, the official distributor of Isuzu vehicles in Thailand, announced on Friday (April 24). Isuzu will reopen its plant in Samut Prakan’s Phra Phradaeng district on May 5 and the plant in Chachoengsao’s Gateway Industrial Estate on May 18.

The statement said the automaker will also put in place measures to ensure the safety and hygiene of workers.

Isuzu suspended production at these two plants from April 13 because the ongoing Covid-19 crisis adversely affected its global component supply chain and sharply shrunk its domestic and export markets.

Still amazes me, the low numbers in Thailand, when they really didn't make much of an effort to close things until last minute !!
