Thai Lion Air, Air Asia, Nok Air, Bangkok Airways and Thai VietJet will start flying from May 1, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) said, adding that Thai Smile and Thai Airways will take to the skies from June 1.

The authority also emphasised that every airline has to ensure health security and social distancing regulations set by the Public Health Ministry are strictly followed and passengers wear face masks at all times.

As for international flights, CAAT said decision on making them available depends on other countries’ lockdown measures.

So, travel between provinces is permitted?  Except maybe to Phuket or other locked-down provinces?

maybe they can start flying but have a feeling that would be with empty airplanes, not many people ready to fly
