Cafe seats get plastic sheets

Cafes and restaurants are making special seats that have a plastic sheet to protect customers from being exposed to Covid-19.

 

 

Even though the lockdown measure has been eased and some public venues can now reopen, entrepreneurs are still cautious.

 

Owners of cafes and restaurants have come up with the idea of placing these sheets on the seats to prevent customers from making contact with one another.

Crazy, how is society going to continue if there is no social interaction or maybe that is the plan.

Although doubt very much it will succeed without major pushbacks soon especially Thailand and alike.

'on the seats'? I can see sheets of plastic on the tables. Where on the ones on the seats?

Ohh please, why are you spoiling the illusion?????????

Give it another year or 2 and we won't need to go out for food anyway.

Just take your prescribed nourishment tablet in the morning and all good.

Trying to "impress" customers with useless and even uncomfortable solution, they will realize soon is not  even agreed by customers...give them few days????

In a country that has such low numbers of the "virus" it's totally over the top and it can only be about controlling the people. The giving back of alcohol also can be taken away again if the people behave badly.

Also, have you ever looked at extraction fans in these sort of restaurants !!! Most look like they have never been cleaned since the grand opening...

Pretty sure they won't be wiping the tables and plastic dividers after every customer has eaten, so pointless....

There was another photo I saw from a national Thai paper in English with a couple dining with the table divided up in the middle and the sides with clear plastic, the shabu pot was in the middle of the table with the plastic around it. Are couples not allowed to dine together anymore without plastic separating them.

yeah so you can sleep together but not eat together its never going to work all for show.

Ridiculous. But interaction will not be affected. Everyone is looking at his phone constantly sending messages to the person opposite of next of them. Good luck. I am a cooking home person and don't drink. So booze ban can stay on. Good for the fight against alcoholism.

Ever consider that "controlling the people" and low virus (yes it is a virus, no reason to put " " around) numbers might be a factor in keeping numbers low? Compare that to the idiocy shown in certain US states and high numbers there...
