May 4, 20206 yr Cambodia is expected to see a first flow of Chinese tourists visit the country when the world can get rid of COVID-19. Chinese tourists form the largest market for Cambodia. The Ministry of Tourism says it is preparing to receive many visitors from the country soon. Chinese tourists are a major market that will rebound and take the lead in visiting international destinations, Tourism Minister Thong Khon said during a meeting last week. “When the Chinese government allows its people to go out or resume their flights, we think there will be a big flow of Chinese tourists to Cambodia,” he said. With such optimism, the minister has ordered all official experts at the ministry to be ready to receive Chinese tourists in accordance with the “China Ready” strategy, while urging the tourism businesses and other tourism destinations to further implement health and safety measures for all tourists. Cambodia launched its “China Ready” strategy in 2016, intending to attract more Chinese tourists to the country. After COVID-19 ends within the next four or five months, according to Tith Chantha, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism, the number of foreign visitors to Cambodia will increase two or three-fold. read more https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50719658/ministry-cambodia-tourism-sector-expects-more-chinese/ ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français ThaiVisa, it's also in French

Not true;- - Cambodia eVisa is required for all CHINA citizens wishing to visa Cambodia. - Visa for Cambodia for CHINA citizens is valid for 30 days with single entry only. - The time to process Cambodia visa application is normally 3 working days. ... You can arrive and exit Cambodia on any date within this visa duration. I personally know they have to have a visa. At Siem Reap airport long queues form as they show their e-visas at the Immigration desks. Edited May 4, 20206 yr by Burma Bill additional information

Quote from Khmer Times:- Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Xiong Bo said his nation stands in solidarity with Cambodian authorities that catch Chinese nationals committing crimes in the country, following criticism from Cambodians on Facebook. Mr Xiong met with reporters at the Chinese embassy in Phnom Penh to address rising concern amongst Cambodians, many of whom believe China is taking over the country, especially in Preah Sihanouk province, where Chinese investment in hotels and casinos has skyrocketed. Mr Xiong said China absolutely supports the arrests of any of its nationals committing crimes in the country, operating businesses illegally or scamming fellow countrymen back home through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) scams.

That’s funny. Don’t believe everything you read, especially from a communist party official. I know people that do business there, and I have good friends from there. The Chinese have the green light, as long as the billions in corruption money keeps flowing Edited May 5, 20206 yr by Redline
