State Railway of Thailand (SRT) will operate trains on four routes from May 15 after temporary closure of service due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

 

 

SRT officials said that they would operate round trips on Bangkok routes to Chiang Mai in the North, Hat Yai in the South, Ubon Ratchathani and Nong Khai in the Northeast.

 

“The train will depart from Bangkok at 5am on May 15 and return at 6am the followimg day,” the officials said.

 

He added that SRT has implemented measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among staff and passengers.

Will they be walking all the tracks first looking for problems as trains fall over on the way to Chiang Mai enough already at normal times ?
