Honest Question: How is Trump a 'threat to Democracy'?
I don’t disagree (with your second and third paragraphs), and it rubs me the wrong way when Harris and other Democrats express such concern for Trump’s safety. But I’m pretty sure they’re taking the high-road approach so as to appear (at least) civilized, in the expectation that this will help them win the election fair and square. Should Trump somehow legitimately win the election (and the possibility of that happening is rapidly vanishing), all bets are off, especially during the period of time between the election and inauguration. -

Heavy duty speaker stands in Thailand? Where to buy them or get them custom made?
Thanks, that is what I thought. But I know from watching "welding videos" that it is easy to put screw up the angles, i.e. 89 degrees instead of 90 degrees. I guess if I am seeing the speaker stands and they are not straight, that would somehow irritate me... I will look if I can find a shop in Bangkok which can produce such stands in good quality. To be sure the height is perfect I have to wait until my sofa will be delivered next month. Then I can measure which height I need. -

Thai police shut down 21 villas on Koh Samui, foreigners evicted
Landslides with the villas in tow and ring road area flooding started every rainy season in the early 2000s with all the hillside razing and villa developments. Also lost the huge flock of White Herons that used to nest in the hills west of Big Buddha - they flew early morns to Ang Thong and back just before sunset every day. I'll never forget the day my Bangrak neighbour was out in the standing water on the ring road with a fish net, trying to catch any koi that were flooded out from his garden pond or helping to rescue another's household goods. Can't imagine rainy season in low-lying areas now! -

I Love Donald Trump
This is a perfect example where you need to think things through. As I have mentioned in other posts targetted tariffs where say China is assisting exporters so that the sale price in the US is not fair can be a reasonable retaliation by the US. But a blanket tariff as Trump has proposed is straight out protectionism and isn't consistent with the age old Republicans mantra of a free market. It can lead to significant inflation and a distorted market. Has Harris copied this. Of course not. -
