The park is being built on the unfinished skytrain structure built in 1984 in the middle of Chao Phraya River.

Currently, the construction and renovation of the new park are nearly complete. Workers are now planting trees and cleaning the site. All work is expected to finished by the end May, the governor said.

The name for the park will be selected from a contest. The park will officially open for public use in June.
