Holiday Tomorrow Or Not?

Featured Replies

Hi!

So is tomorrow a holiday or not?

I've heard 3 stories:

1) It's not a holiday anymore, only today (monday) is a holiday.

2) It's a holiday for Government offices, but it's an "optional" holiday for banks and private businesses.

3) It's now a holiday for everyone.

So what have you heard and from who/where? :o

Not claiming any authoritative status, but my understanding is that 2 is closest. I believe that the banks for example will be open tomorrow. I think the idea was to stretch the return traveling window but it was so last minute I'm not sure how it'll play out.

Of course the same thing was done last year for the Royal Celebrations.

Regards

I didn't know about this extra day of holiday until after I booked my ticket to Penang tomorrow. Hoping the Thai Embassy is open down there, but expecting it not to be. :o

edit: well just called NJs, he's says it's open and he hasn't let me down yet so I reckon it'll be ok. :D

Presumably the Post Offices are shut then?

It is not a holiday for banks - they will be open.

My local post office has a sign up saying it is closed tomorrow, however the banks have signs saying they are open.

I notice my Thaivisa.com calender shows tomorrow as a holiday.
