Dumbastheycome
Came across this slightly alarming phenomenon this morning. Have seen individual ones of these crawling across the ground before but never knew from where. This cluster is on one particular flowering shrub but not on others like it or near it. I am assuming they have surfaced from the earth because they are currently static and just above ground level. Hairy, bristly crawlers like this I know better than to touch. Does anyone know what they become from this stage?
Puchaiyank
A butterfly or moth! https://owlcation.com/stem/furry-caterpillar
IsaanAussie
Hard to see detail. What plant were they on? Most butterflies and moth larvae have a limited number of food plants. It would help identify it.
kickstart
I think it is a Long Striped Tiger Moth บุง Boong in Thai. We regularly get them mainly crawling across our pathway ,be careful about touching them those hairs can make you itch not certain if they would cause a rash.
