A grocery vendor is under fire from netizens for alleged fraud after he was found to be selling products meant as donations.

The recent concept "Pantries of sharing" has been hotly debated on social media with many people warning donors to be cautious about sharing food supplies.

A Twitter account named Red Skull uploaded a picture of a grocery vendor selling products with markings to show they had been donated to "pantries of sharing".

The picture was taken at the Mill Market Rangsit. There is now a debate on the appropriateness of the "pantries of sharing" model.

No doubt the columnist in the BKK Post will deal with it next week - Old Crutch himself.

That's that Thai Disease,,, GREED,,,,

Bad style, to steal and then sell donated food.

But many small food vendors have bad times, when there is a lot of free food. The normal buy/sale system is out of order in Thailand.

Many who knows "somebody" can get free food and do not need to pay for rice, eggs etc, that was ok if it only is going to the poor people, but where I live it is going to the friends of the uniforms.

As an example of a market out of balance is the egg market. From the upper level is was decided to ban export of eggs because of upgoing egg prices, then there was to much eggs on the thai market, then the upper friends complained, then it was decided to buy the eggs from the upper friends who are very big egg producers (no names here) and give out the eggs for free to all thai people, (not only the poor) and now the upper friends was happy again. But when you give out things for free, the market price on theses things go down, so the small egg producers who are not members of the upperclass, now get troubles with selling their eggs and market price on eggs is going down out of control.

Buying the monks stuff, you've got the added chance of making whoopee merit. Now isn't that worthwhile?

Plus you won't come back as a lowly animal if you pay enough donate generously.

Not one iota! Absolutely the same immoral/criminal activity.

It's Thai style I was watching a YT video the other day about Pattaya and the guy mentioned about the motor bike taxi guys running around to all the free food places what they were doing with it I dont know.

Im sure some stories will come out soon in my local area Gossip

And this is news? It's an Asian thing!!!!
