So white police and white procecutors killing blacks and letting it go is a problem in the black community?  I do not think those cops and prosecutors are part of the black community.

I am having trouble with the logic in play at these riots. Black people want to be respected more by others, so to achieve that they burn down city centers, violently attack and threaten people, and r

Four officers on the sceene and involved.  One charged.  Were the other three subsequently charged?  Are they in jail or out on minimal bail?

The arrests and charges came after the public outrage.

A more immediate response may very well have assuaged the public anger that arose during the delay.

"Independent autopsy and Minnesota officials say George Floyd's death was homicide"

Paid for by the floyd family! Dr baden is a paid for hack! He agrees with who ever hires him and pays him! Money don't you know! I do not believe any person that is being paid for their opinion and testimony! Already have reasonable doubt, 2 different autopsies, which one do you believe, the one paid for or one done by someone doing their job?

The guy "doing his job" made some significant revisions in his report after the paid guy's report didn't he?

Also the guy "doing his job" gets paid by someone too and that someone may not be as clean as you like to believe.  Many cases like this the person is a politician and with all that baggage.

Which one do you believe?  Not dependent on who hires him.  Believe the one who has the facts complete and correct and reaches the most logical supportable conclusions no matter who pays him.  Just because he is a police department coroner does not mean he is better at his job than someone else.

I can't blame the Floyd family for picking a doc to give them the most favorable outcome. After the tears comes the reality of a settlement.

Both autopsies done agree, which was also the gist of the post you replied to: Independent autopsy and Minnesota officials say George Floyd's death was homicide.

Same result as the one from the county: Independent autopsy and Minnesota officials say George Floyd's death was homicide.

The initial report by Minnesota officials, released in the charging documents, said the opposite, the trauma to the neck was not the cause of death.

It also listed  "other significant conditions, including arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication and recent use of methamphetamine."

https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/06/01/george-floyd-familys-lawyer-independent-autopsy-determines-floyd-died-of-asphyxiation/

Something which the report paid for by the family does not.

Only after that report paid by the family came out did Minnesota officials issue another autopsy report which agreed it was homicide.

All very odd. Though it should be noted the family's expert also said they need to await toxicology reports.

Personally it seems clear to me the man was alive before the police encounter and now he's dead, so the police must have had some part in causing the death.

Because a lot of people are demanding it be looked at.  Because private people have videos of it that the police and prosecutors can not deny or doctor.  If there were 4 black men involved with the killing of a policeman, you can bet your ass they would all be in jail and would have been since day 1.

Responding to Looters.  1992 Koreatown Style Los Angeles.  I remembers those days.  They didn’t wait for the police because we were busy getting things thrown at us in other parts of the city.

What i find most disturbing is that there have been over 90 attacks on press reporters and cameramen in the last 3 days - mainly by the police. This includes one female reporter who lost an eye to a rubber bullet and another shot in the throat. Many of these attacks were actually caught on film. Some were definitely deliberate. Most of these were clearly identifiable as press and some from well known companies (Reuters, BBC).

Is this a deliberate policy by the police to drive away oversight of their 'peace keeping' operations?

Maybe not the policy of the police but rather those who the police take their orders from??

I agree, black lives matter, and I think black people can start by not killing each other in such large numbers. After that elephant in the room has been sorted, we can move on to other injustices.
