What are the commonly applicable or negotiable interest rates (per year) on a real estate loan? Is there any Bank to prefer for a loan? I am not talking here if a foreigner can or cannot get a loan, just want to know about the conditions if the loan would be possible. Thanks for related and helpful replies.

Just taken a loan to cover completion on our shop from KAS at 6.1%   I thought that was extortionate as they have the collateral on our house at 5 X the value of the loan.

SCB currently charges 4.75% on domestic home loans.

But don't forget the 20 year life insurance on the borrower paid up front they all want.
