can I leave and apply for a tourist visa

this stuff is so confusing

will I get in trouble cause I didn't get a job

Do you have a multiple or single entry B visa? (sounds like single).

If only a single entry then you need to get yourself the tourist visa or do visa runs until you find a job.

Don't worry, you won't get into trouble because you didn't get a job.

Reading this post I am not too surprised that he didn't get a teaching job. Perhaps it is time to try neurosurgery.
