Can I get issued a new license with new passport number on and valid to same date as the existing license without the renewal process? Btw, its a 5 year license. Wiggy Posted June 22, 2020 Share Posted June 22, 2020 The first time I changed my passport in the middle of a 5-year DL I changed the licence to suit, and the expiry date remained the same. It was very easy to do. The second time I only had a year left on my DL so I didn't bother, and didn't get any hassle.
