Anutin Charnvirakul

Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is willing to accept a reshuffle of the Cabinet, though Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has so far not spoken a word on the matter.

The Bhumjaithai party leader said on Friday (June 19) that he was not so concerned about an adjustment of ministers’ seats since any such decision was up to the premier.

When reporters also asked him about moves by other parties to propose their members as new ministers, Anutin reacted with a big laugh.

“No problem,” he said before leaving to attend to the Cabinet meeting.

Factions within the core coalition Palang Pracharat Party are thought to be fighting for control over the most lucrative seats in Cabinet after a Bt1.9-trillion stimulus package was launched by the government.

Bhumjaithai benefited when nine MPs from the dissolved Future Forward Party joined its ranks in February, theoretically increasing the party’s bargaining power for Cabinet seats.

Of course he is open to the thought of a re-shuffle then he can become the PM's second and old Prawit can move on out to run the Palang Pracharat Party.  He wants the PM's job anyway.  This way he could do in the dirty foreigners, and really become another Power hungry dictator, nothing like his patronage.  Money buys you what you want in life.

Now why would they be fighting over lucrative seats ?, lu·cra·tive

"producing a great deal of profit." there's the answer.

Anutin will be laughing the other side of his face, if there is a cabinet re-shuffle, and he gets shuffled out.:cheesy:

We can only hope so Colin.  I believe he has to much dirt on certain individuals and is playing the cards close to his vest.  He is like a man who we nicknamed as Slick Willie, who was the President of the US at one time...William Jefferson Clinton.

Almost sounds as if he had any say in this. If the big reshuffler (Gen. Prayuth) decides to shuffle, he will; with or without Anutin's "willingness".

Yes, this is hilarious.

When is Anutin going to inject himself with the first batch of Thai-made corona vaccine? We’re all waiting on the edge of our seats. I hope he doesn’t spontaneously combust.

You're almost right: Anutin doesn't have a say, but neither has Prayuth.

Anutin is laughing because he knows he has nothing to fear from a cabinet reshuffle. He can be as incompetent as he likes but Prayut can't move him to a less lucrative portfolio because he is Newin's man in the government (in addition to Newin's brother) and Prawit and Newin call the shots behind the scenes and pass Uncle Tu his scripts.

Anutin might go the way of bigjoke, too much attention and he will be send made the manager of the hospital in Nakhon Nowhere.

Seriously, maybe the embassies here of our home countries should make a statement that being racist to anything but chinese and thai is not a good way to help international relations. Anutin is a disgrace, and it says a lot about thailand if the rest of the clowns here keep him in power.

As long as he can do a little farang bashing to avoid that nobody can see his inferiority complex led by harassment, hatred and shortsightedness ........

He has possibly aspirations to the big seat in the house and hence does not care, as long as he gets thee where he wants. He talks about opening tourism in bubbles, while his ministerial colleague doing transport issues, Mr Saksayam Chidchob intervenes in public health queries by informing, that public transport can be used upto 50 minutes without social distance. To top it off, another one of the wise men, Mr
Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, running the tourism ministry wants to focus on the rich Westeners (at least he does not call them aliens or dirty farang - a definite step in the right direction).

Too many (dangerous) clowns and far too few circuses!
