Summer storms hit the provinces of Phayao, Lampang, Lamphun and Chachoengsao for three days, with seven districts sustaining severe damages, though no injuries or deaths have been reported so far.

Chayapol Thitisak, director general of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, said on Thursday (June 25) that the storms were brought on by the southwest monsoon winds across the Andaman Sea.

The department has sent a team of officials supported by soldiers to help repair homes as well as distribute food and basic necessities. The officials have also taken note of the damage in line with Commerce Ministry’s regulations.
