Shame on you: Tom Hanks slams people refusing to wear face masks

Tom Hanks has admitted his disappointment in people deciding against wearing face masks to protect themselves from coronavirus.

 

The actor and his wife, Rita Wilson, were among some of the first famous faces to contract the virus after falling ill in Australia back in March.

 

Both stars have since made a full recovery and donated blood plasma for research into a Covid-19 vaccine.

 

Hanks, 63, has now urged the public to wear masks and “do your part.”

another celebrity pretending to be an intellectual; only self protection is a small deterrant from touching your own face and a huge false sense of security

This “ducky” never says anything unless it’s political so my guess...it’s just another dig at Don. 

He's offering advice, he recovered from the virus and urging for the sensible use of face masks. The virus is out of control in the US.

 

He's not out to control the world, no secret handshakes with Bill Gates. Mocking or criticizing him for doing his bit is nonsense.

Doesn't protect themselves, mask wearing protects others from you (if you have Covid-19). If you don't have Covid-19 then you aren't protecting anyone. 

The German chancellor, Misses Merkel, is not wearing a mask and said at her recent meeting with France's Macron publicly that she does not need one because she keeps a 1.5 meter distance. 

Tom, go and shame her!!! 

But keep in mind that she gets advised by Germany's famous Robert Koch Institute and by Dr. Drosten, so she might not believe you, but them.

Not sure Tom cares too much about Merkel, besides in that same meeting with Macron, Merkel also said: 

 

The Chancellor said she of course also sticks to the pandemic rules and there will be opportunities in future to see her sporting a covering over her mouth and nose.

She added: "There will be other occasions when I will certainly be seen wearing a mask."

 

Across Germany, residents have to wear face masks on public transport and in shops, although the rules can differ from state to state.
