Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has hailed China’s relationship with Thailand and vowed to further advance ties with Thailand and other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, according to CGTN.

In a congratulatory message to Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Chinese leader said China’s relationship with Thailand sets a model for China-ASEAN relations.

“Reviewing the steady development of the bilateral ties in the past 45 years, Li applauded the productive bilateral cooperation in various fields, saying the healthy relationship not only brings concrete benefits to the two peoples but also set a model for promoting China-ASEAN relations,” CGTN reported.

China dumped all the defective PPE that was rejected by other countries while Prayut and Anutin are happy to get it. But I guess it's only fair since China gave the world this virus.

Time for the Thais to admit they've been colonized by China.

The defamation and computer crime laws effectively achieve the same result in Thailand already.

On the same day China's National Security Law was set in effect in Hong Kong

and no mention of China's renewed aggregation in the South China Sea and against other Asean countries.
I ask the question if China is just taking advantage of the COVID19 outbreak or if it was all part of the plan.
Thailand should choose it's Allies carefully China is becoming very unpopular.
P.s the face-mask the PM is wearing has a valve which allows exhaled breath to bypass the filter and offers no protection to others.

China will eventually take over Thailand and it will be too late to do anything about it.All their eggs are in the Chinese basket. Without Chinese money Thailand will collapse. They'd do better to be close to USA,Europe, India,Japan and other democracies  rather than an evil Communist dictatorship

wait for Thailand has always been part of China!

They don't do democracy around here. That's the exact reason they are sailing into China's lap.

SHOCKING NEWS, all the nasty communist leaders eventually fall, that means they can take the nasty Thai scum with them too. Can't believe the Thai population will put up with them forever.

Strong Chinese ties are hardly surprising... Chinese In Thailand there are at least 150 extravagantly wealthy Thai-Chinese families, whose members figure prominently in company boardrooms and social registers. Six families stand over and above the rest in terms of influence and power. Their businesses rake in cash from goods and services that many Thais have come to consider essential, and they often exert enormous influence over politics, economics, sports, entertainment, media and other sectors. It’s no exaggeration to say the actions and decisions of several dozen members of these dynasties have a major effect on the lives of close to 70 million country residents. https://www.thebigchilli.com/feature-stories/thailands-six-pack-the-powerful-thai-chinese-families-who-dominate-the-countrys-business-scene

Stadtler wonders how many of those surgical masks were taken from western countries so they would be fully open to infection of the virus The Communist Chinese sent around the world.

Politicians whether in fake democracies or communist regimes work for those with the money. Anyone with eyes could see 30 years ago who owned all the major businesses in Thailand. The US held sway as its military was respected/feared, that is now fading. Those with the bucks can see which way the wind is blowing and are lining up with the emergent power.

Rather than blame the Thais or Chinese, blame greedy US business leaders, corrupt politicians and the parasites in the MIC, who have sucked the country dry. Billions for overpriced ineffective weapons as infrastructure crumbles, off shoring factories to increase CEO bonuses, and the reprehensible political class enabling all for 30 pieces of silver.

"All their eggs in Chinese basket"....That might appear to be,but the Thais all-ways play both sides.

Better to hail the #MilkTeaAlliance

China hasn't got too many friends left. Just a few lap dogs left.

Oh right, the takeover

The current expansionary influence of China should be of concern here, its all smiles now but it will end in tears. Thailand may soon have to choose between the west and China and it seems to be leaning to the east, if the Chinese get a foothold in the ASEAN the region will suffer a powerful neighbour's ways and new way of life. Although the PM here thinks this good by the look on his face as always there is no thinking ahead.

Somebody received a brown envelope...

It may start to dawn on them when they realise there is a large Chinese Naval base in Cambodia, allowing the Chinese Navy unfettered access to the entire Gulf of Thailand.

Over the 45 years of friendship you've had some toss pots as leaders of both countries, nothing has changed much.
