 "Gang of Four" arrested for failed ATM attack in Petchaburi

Police and local officials in Petchaburi have announced the arrest of four men in their twenties who attempted to cut their way into a krung Thai ATM in Tha Yang district on the night of June 19th.

 

The gang were disturbed by a member of the public who saw them and fled in several vehicles with nothing. 

 

Inside the ATM was 3,487,000 baht. 

 

Arrested were Panudech, 26, Werawat, 23, and Thanwa and Paradorn, both 22. 

 

Gas cutting equipment and three vehicles were taken into evidence. 

 

Charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated theft at night, they have all admitted their crime and been taken on a reenactment.

 

Daily News reported that police got their leads from CCTV and traced the gang to a resort in Samut Songkhram where they were subsequently arrested on warrants.

News articles should not disclose the amounts of cash held.  Its a mistake.  In the UK the Police know to limit information to the Press about the amounts stolen.

totally agree .....  in some instances the media only creates problems and mayhem ....

folks are so naive now,  they believe every bit of news they see on TV or wherever and some make an issue of it.
