Whether you can apply for a one year extension while on a "automatic extension" under the amnesty may depend upon the office where you apply.

Just got back from Phayao IO. Successfully aplied for 60-day extension dated from today (my permission to stay was until 24 June. Was told to come back next month to apply for 1-year extension. I will have to present a 12 month statement even although I have only 5 months FTT deposits. Hope this helps those who were worried about the date of approval.
