Quick: Need Guys Who Paint Houses

Seems we're buying a house. The seller is really helpful and smart about these things and came up with the excellent suggestion of painting everything BEFORE moving the furniture in. He doesn't know that all the furniture we posess in the world fits comfortably in a Thai pick-up. But still, this might be a good time to paint.

Thought we might do the outside as well, in some trendy two-tone yellow-ish job.

Anyone with thoughts or recommendations about people who are good & affordable at such things? And how about paint, any thoughts on what paint to use or just leave it up to them?

Cheers,

Chanchao

We have a builder my g/f knows in CM who has just put a new gyprock ceiling and re-tiling in a condo we own. He also painted the ceiling and is re-painting the walls as we speak. So far, his work, including the painting, has been pretty good, and reassonable price. PM if you want his phone number. Also have a look at TOA paints from Thailand website. They have a good selection of both interior and exterior products including a weathershield paint for outside. Their colour selector chart online is pretty good. As stated, its well work paying the extra for quality product especially for outside............ Hope this heaps. Cheers............ :o

If you know enough people (and trust them to do a good job), you could always have a 'Painting Party'. Basically everyone pitching in to paint the place up, then have a party after.

Then again...this isnt a very sensible way..so prob best going with the previous suggestion :o

make sure the the surfaces are cleaned of any mold and any loose paint first, then use a good primer/sealer before doing any kind of finish paint. Make sure you watch the whole process being done. Paint can go missing on jobs and some things skipped or not done properly.
