Chris Evans joined the cast of The Avengers in thanking a six-year-old boy for his bravery after saving his little sister from a dog attack.

Bridger Walker from Wyoming made headlines this week after jumping in between his four-year-old sister and the dog, saying: “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”

He was left with huge bite marks and bruises on his face and needed more than 90 stitches.

After Walker’s aunt started an Instagram account documenting his journey and shared that the boy was a Marvel fan, the message quickly caught the attention of actor Anne Hathaway, who wrote on Instagram: “I’m not an Avenger, but I know a superhero when I see one.”
