ATLANTA (Reuters) - Colorado and Arkansas on Thursday joined a growing list of U.S. states requiring face coverings in public to combat a surge in coronavirus infections, after Georgia's governor moved the other way and barred such measures from being imposed at the local level.

PHUKET:  Australian Ambassador to Thailand Allan McKinnon has confirmed that the Australian Embassy in Bangkok is now providing letters to assist Australian nationals seeking to extend their visas.

No Covid-19 cases after thousands of tests in Bangkok, Rayong: DDC

More than 4,200 people in Rayong and Bangkok, who were seen as at risk for Covid-19 infection following the cases of the Egyptian soldier and the Sudanese ambassador's daughter, have tested negative, the Department of Disease Control (DDC) said.

Ambassadors entering Thailand will be quarantined: CCSA

The ambassador of Estonia, who was refused entry by a condominium building where she had rented a unit, on Thursday night moved to Grand Centralpoint Bangkok Hotel, which is one of the registered state quarantine hotels, the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Friday.

New civil aviation rules require Covid-19 medical certificate before buying ticket

Following China's decision to ban Thai Lion Air from flying the Bangkok-Guangzhou route and Thai AirAsia from flying Bangkok-Tianjin, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has ordered the implementation of new regulations for international flights.

UK to review potentially faulty England COVID-19 death data

LONDON (Reuters) - Health Minister Matt Hancock ordered a review into how England reports coronavirus deaths, after academics said the daily figures may include people who have died of other causes.    The way Public Health England, a government agency responsible for managing infectious disease outbreaks, calculates the figures means they might look worse there than in other parts of the United Kingdom, according to two academics.
