The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Saturday (July 18) that the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and Thailand is weakening, resulting in lesser rain across the country.

 

 

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:

 

North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees Celsius and highs of 34-36°C.

 

Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 22-26°C and highs of 33-35°C.

 

Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-25°C, highs of 34-36°C.

 

East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

 

South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-24°C, highs of 33-34°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-25°C, highs of 32-34°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

 

Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-27°C, highs of 32-36°C.
