Yon, 44, and Sakhon, 36, were arrested at their room in Jomtien along with a hacksaw used in their crimes. Last Sunday they stole two 15 kilogram gas canisters from the Yong Ja restaurant next to the Pattaya police station. Then yesterday they repeated the trick stealing another one from a hotel on Sai 2 road. CCTV led to their capture. The miscreants said they sold the canisters for 800 baht a time to a second hand goods dealer. They said they had lost their jobs in construction due to the pandemic and needed cash for school fees.
