Seven new Covid-19 cases in state quarantine

There were seven cases of Covid-19, the biggest increase over a 24-hour period in weeks, the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported on Saturday (July 18).

But Thailand has gone 56 days without a domestic case.

All the new patients had returned from foreign countries and were in state quarantine.

Two had returned from the US, one from Bahrain and three from Egypt.

In Thailand, the total number of cases since the outbreak, as of Saturday, was 3,246, with 58 deaths, 3,096 recoveries, and 92 undergoing treatment in hospitals.

didn't they said yesterday there were no infections from the Egyptians.... the usual lying BS about reporting.

They should be careful as it appears Asia countries (Australia, Japan, China (Xinjiang), South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines) having new clusters, better keep Thailand closed

“New clusters”.....what 7 people returning from abroad? Yeah keep it closed for a massive 7 cases.

Weren't they referring to the Egyptian pilots when they said no infections?

7 reported, how many not reported ?

More than 4,200 people in Rayong and Bangkok, who were seen as at risk for Covid-19 infection following the cases of the Egyptian soldier

On July 16, 1,244 Rayong people were tested in mobile labs while 97 got a virus test in Bangkok. The results are awaited.

They said no infections from Egyptians yes, But they didn't say no infections in Egypt. Those 3 Thai citizens came from Egypt.

Did you hear or see  anyone hospitalized because of local infections?

In the UK it is also raging out of control. I’m not seeing hospitals overflowing here.

...and noone has tested positive in Rayong or Bangkok after the fiasco last week. Over 1000 have their results back already. The lack of cases also should a lack of asymptomatic carriers in the community.

All PUI are hospitalised and tested. There have been no positive results. 2229 on July 15th met the criteria for PUI. Positive cases are not released to the community as in other countries. All are hsoiptalised here until they return a negative swab.

Just a daily report news and some narrow minders want to find fault on it.

Just wonder if they are here at this moment and really know the situation in Thailand now.

This remind me a friend of mine whom known as anti-Gov, anti-CCP, anti-his wife...

And I always like to ask him "Nothing better/meaningful things to do in your life?" ????

Just wait for the knicker-wetting when the first cases resurface in the wild - and they will, sure as my friend's name is Terdsak.

I'm beginning to think that it's dangerous in quarantine, are they infecting each other?

Yeah as they get off the airplane the covids jump all over them and infect... or maybe they already had it upon arrival.

It's really not raging out of control in the UK, nor the rest of Europe.

A friend of mine from the UK went on holiday to Italy a couple of days ago and posted photos of the family on facebook. Someone else went to France for a week, all is going pretty well in Europe.

I think the government will always say they have cases from returning Thais to justify keeping the borders closed and the quarantine hotels full.

Can you justify that comment with facts ?

Keep up. That was weeks ago

Something smells with all these articles?  By the way?  Rayong has a mobile testing lab?  Has anyone heard or seen one even in Pattaya?

Finally, someone points this out. Also the test is not free in Thailand if you are asymptomatic.
