Help each other for good of the country instead of protesting: Palang Pracharat ex-spokesman

Every party should help each other for the benefit of all people instead of resorting to protests that would damage the country, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, former secretary to the finance minister and former Palang Pracharat spokesman, said today (July 29).

 

He said the government’s “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” (We Travel Together) tourism stimulus scheme has encouraged Thais to travel to a host of tourist attractions, such as Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Khao Yai, Udon Thani, Phuket and Koh Samui, expecting that people would spend more money during the four-month period of July 1 to October 31.

 

“After interacting with retail operators in Phuket last week, I agreed with their move to cut the price of products and services to attract Thais, because this move will help promote domestic tourism in the present Covid-19 situation,” he said.

 

“The government is putting a lot of effort into solving the country’s crises and relieve public suffering, so I would like every party including the opposition and Free Youth group to help each other,” he pleaded.

 

He cited three Free Youth demands and maintained that the government has never threatened people.

 

“The drafting of a new charter is under a committee studying regulations and guidelines to improve the constitution,” Thanakorn pointed out.

 

“And as for Parliament dissolution, the Free Youth group should hear comments from people across the country over whether they agree with this demand or not,” he added.

if you let people speak/vote freely you may be very surprised with their wishes....if you want to keep your status/position better not ask

The Gap between Rich and Poor gets ever larger thanks to the endless Corruption at every level of Government from the very top down to every Local Government Office.   Fix this first and worry about cheap holiday schemes later !

Yeah,, they had one of those not to long ago and they didn't like the results one bit and made the winner FF party and outlaw party, so yes, no happiness there...

Maybe, Mr. Thanakorn, just maybe... those protests are being staged EXACTLY for that -- for the good of the country. Ever thought about that? Or is this too difficult to process for your nationalistically poisoned mind?

Isn't it funny, how it is always "help each other", when the poo hits THEIR fan?

 

Help us help the country, so we can stay at the trough.   The coup and the so called election are not very palatable.   It is really difficult to like this government and those who serve in it.   They dislike foreigners and do not think that much of their fellow Thai. 

That old chestnut that has kept those in power for years and years. Don't complain about injustice, corruption, inequality. Keep quite, shut up and do as you are told.

 

The same old boring mantra which you would think people are fed up off and would start to question and finally do something about. But I am not Thai so I just wouldn't understand, right!

What's confusing about my comment/my words?

Former secretary to the finance minister and former Palang Pracharat spokesman.

Obviously this guy has never seen the true Thailand, especially for the past 5 years

and unless this government goes back to the "barracks" and let an elected civilian government

to lead this country, Thai peoples are losing faith for their future, above all, new generations.
