July 30, 20205 yr Popular Post As gambling seems to be entrenched in most if not all Provences possibly the Government should legalize and reap the taxes. A legal "Casino" would make control and honesty of the gaming possible. I think the Lao and Cambodian casino's would not have so many Thai's going out of country then, keeping their Baht at home.

Why do you think that, out of all the countries in the region, only Thailand has no casinos? Because then the untouchable VIPs who lurk in the shadows, pull the strings and own the illegal ones would lose their billions. I imagine this particular owner upset someone even higher up the VIP chain and so a raid was arranged.

July 31, 20205 yr What actually happened to all those retired "dirty farang" who were "caught" playing bridge, booked and released on bail? It took a Khunying to explain to the BiB, that Bridge is an Olympic sport, which in turn was of little to no interest to the brown-dressed clowns in Pattaya. Just asking ........
