Six new Covid-19 infections were confirmed in state quarantine with no deaths over a 24-hour period, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration reported on Thursday (July 30), the 66th day without any domestic cases since May.

Of the new cases, four are students who returned from Egypt and two – a student and household helper – returned from Saudi Arabia. They are all asymptomatic.

As of Thursday, the total number of confirmed cases in the country stood at 3,304 (367 found in state quarantine) – 135 are being treated, 3,111 have recovered and 58 have succumbed to the virus.

Globally, the total number of confirmed cases has gone beyond 17 million, up by 294,000 (the highest daily report number since the outbreak). So far, 10.6 million have recovered, and 670,000 died.

Thailand is still ranked 106th globally in terms of Covid-19 cases, while the United States still tops the list with 4.56 million cases, followed by Brazil with 2.55 million and India with 1.58 million.

No , fit to fly only. Foreigners,  fit to fly, covid-19 test, insurance.

Egypt is the present that just keep giving.

All 6 asymptomatic? That is unusual, could they be false positive?

It might come as a surprise to some as to just how many Thai students study in Egypt. Reports from late 2017 indicate 3,500 at Al-Azhar University with, unsurprisingly, the majority coming from South Thailand. A later report from April 2019 had the number at 3,900.

More interested in their symptoms, ages and physical conditions.  Many have had it that do not even know they had it.  The biggest issue is if you have a weak immune system.  Very few people talk about that.   It is what keeps the 99% healthy.

I live in the deep south and it is true that a huge number of people from here are either currently studying in the ME or have graduated from university there.

Most of them in Islamic Studies or Arabic.

what if, big if... they get sick on the plane ?   so strange ... is there no test ?  they go on the plane, no problem and "get sick" at arrival ?   is it dehydration causing a fever ?

So, all these imported cases do not spread the virus to other passengers ?

And T.A.T are talking about opening up 3 major islands for tourism?
