My ED (Thai language) visa is due for a 90 day extension early September. The notice regarding having to update before the 26th said a compelling reason to stay must be given, and this applies to both short and long term visas.

Is this a standard requirement?

If not, are people being turned away based on this reason? How strict has it been?

Where did you see that written?

You will not have a problem applying for your extension when it is due.

The head says renewing but in your story you talk about doing 90 days , that's a bit confusing .

When attending a informal school only 90 day extensions are issued by immigration.
