All American Soldiers Subject to CCSA Requirements to Prevent Covid-19

 

 

BANGKOK, Aug 4 (TNA) –  Visiting American troops are undergoing the 14-day quarantine in Bangkok before they will join U.S.-Thai military exercises, said the head of the Thai Army’s anti-COVID-19 Unit, Nathapon Srisawat while calling for the public to be confident in the high standard of Thai public health system.

 

Some 106 American soldiers, including 32 arriving from Japan are being in state quarantine in Bangkok hotels.  Gen. Nathapon said out of all, 71 soldiers will take part in the Hanuman Guardian military exercise, which will not only focus on the drill but also exchange of experts.

Why ?  for a military drill just postpone it till a later date.

China has quietly changed how it identifies a vast stretch of international waters in a shipping regulation, indicating it as a “coastal” region, rather than “offshore,” as authorities seek to exert even greater control over the South China Sea.

The amended regulation, first drafted in the 1970s, went into effect on Saturday, and establishes a “navigation area” from China’s Hainan island in the south, all the way down to the disputed Paracel Islands, which sit east of Vietnam’s coastline.

The revision, however small, allows Beijing yet another avenue to justify its claims in the region.

Are such exercises needed right now? Surely national security and safety is paramount. Some of the Thai soldiers returning from Hawaii had the virus, the likelihood of some of the American soldiers being infected is surely, unacceptably high?

 

Army seems to have its own rules, look at the Egyptian airmen wandering around Rayong....panic ensued. Platitudes abounded, <deleted> all seems to have been learned.
