Liquids On Carry-on Luggage

Featured Replies

What is the current maximum volume p/p allowed for carrry-on luggage for International flights from TL?

I read somewhere that it was going to be 100ml soon and that was total going on flight. Is that correct? Cant be. Surely only before customs.

Does it need to be carried in transparent bags as well?

Can someone post the official policy or is it another law that can be interpreted differently?

AFAIK, Thailand is not going to implement it yet, but other surrounding countries such as Singapore and Malaysia will during May. The policy is that all liquids, gels and aerosols carried in hand luggage need to be packed in a transparent, re-sealable bag with a maximum volume of 1 litre. Each item mey have a maximum content of 100 ml.

Yes, this includes items such as a bottle of water. They will take a bottle away from you if you want to take it on board. As far as duty-free items are concerned, the airport shops would normally have to pack these items in a sealed bag or so. At some airports, the items purchased will be delivered at the gate.

Having said all this, I packed all these items in a clear bag for a flight to the USA via Taipei, and the security personnel there never even bothered to check...
