Since they don't mention they found a gun, I presume he didn't have one in possession?

He was back out in the briefing room in minutes, and a reporter asked him if he was ‘rattled’ to which he replied “do I look rattled” while looking completely calm.    One of his better owns of

Yes it was very smoothly handled. Trump was so cool about it, didn't even raise an eyebrow. Well done all, and hope they catch the shooter. Why do they keep resorting to violence? They will have a cha

This is unclear. Maybe not. Though if he stated he did and acted as described I don't think one can fault the agent's actions.

Sounds like the man is probably mentally disturbed.

You're making a whole lot of excuses for Trump, none of them firmly grounded in fact, but rather in your partisan position which implies the need to defend him at all costs.

In the same way, allow me to doubt the value of the offered medical/mental assessment of Biden's situation. Again, nothing more than the usual partisan fare.

As for age, you can't be serious. Trump's 74, Biden's 77. Not much of a difference there.

I read Biden will be 78 come November 3rd.

So you think Biden is a-ok, totally mentally competent and that all the documented gaffes are just simple unimportant mistakes any aspiring POTUS could make; even one with such a long career in politics and 8 years as VPOTUS.

Not sure any of your comments are actually grounded in facts other than your opinion.

Oh well guess you and I are cut from a different cloth I think obvious ignorance is unacceptable in the commander in chief especially when he’s taking about something that has killed more Americans in 6 months than Korea and Vietnam combined totally unacceptable pathetic in fact as far as Biden he’s not ignorant and he knows and his TEAM knows what they are doing they are going to build an excellent administration

Ignorance is never acceptable - but it seems ignorance was preferred to the outright evil corruption Trump surprisingly beat.

Biden and Harris. Should they win, we'll see how prophetic your words are. But looking at the 2, their histories and track records in office, I think you might be a tad disappointed.

I think they will do just fine in getting the ship of state back on course and addressing some of the inequities that exist in our country

Trump supporters go on about Biden's age, while ignoring the fact that Trump is an old guy as well. If you think that 3-4 years make a huge difference there, your choice. Considering that the President, regardless of age issues, often appears to have trouble focusing on issues, having command of facts or makes a whole lot of odd comments, it's hard not to see Trump supporters' harping on Biden's age as other but disingenuous.

You may look my posts up and down, and you won't find any singing of Biden's praises. He's not an ideal candidate, he's probably not at the top of his game. That still doesn't make him worse than Trump, nor does it make Trump's issues go away.

As for your last line - "any of my comments"? Seriously? Including the ones you occasionally click "like" or "thanks" for? Toys. Pram.

Are you trying to claim Trump is not corrupt? People on his administration aren't corrupt? As for "evil", I was under the impression this is a discussion forum, but eh.

I cant find any thread on the subject of Donald Trumps brother passing away so I will leave this here and hope the mods forgive me being off topic.

I do not like Trump as a President but I do offer my condolences to him, his family and his loved ones.

Awful to hear his brother is no longer with us. I understand he was well liked across the political divide and respected by all who knew him.

I watched the whole sequence of DT at the podium and the SS leading him away.

I suspect this may have been a stunt by the reality show star to show how fearless he is, trying to counter the image of him cowering in inspecting a bunker.

A little too coincidental that it happened at the start of his public appearance.

I watched the press briefing which contained the usual large amount of false and misleading claims by trump. Was there a 'serious' treat to the life of the president, nope, but he did handle the situation well for a change, didn't start blaming democrats...

At some point no matter what side of the fence you are on, you have to acknowledge that Trump is the POTUS and the secret service did their job, Trump followed their orders and the commander in chief was safe. I dont like him as much as anybody else but he needs to be protected and secret service did their job and Trump showed no fear. Good all the way around.
