Two questions on the above.

  • What documents are required?
  • If applying at the end of 12 month visa, does application need to be submitted 10 days (approx) prior to visa fini date eg. issues 6 Jun 06 expires 05 June 07 or is it 10 days (approx) before required exit date which could be a date in June 07 or if visa run carried our on say 4 June 07 required exit date would be est 01/02 Sep 07.

All in-put gladly received. :o

You should apply in the last month of you current visa.

The date in you passport is not an exit date, simply an expiry date.

Once you apply for the extension you will be given a 1 month temporary extension,

pending the decision from Suan Plu, regarding the full year.

Astral thanks for the response ie"last month of current visa" - The exit date I was speaking of is in fact the "the required to leave by date " actual wording being " admitted until"

Anyone for the list of documents that are to be submitted when applying for such an extension??

1. The prefer to see you with between 3 and 4 week remaining on your permitted to stay until stamp.

2. Documents may vary from office to office so it is best to check or not be upset if you have to return. You will need passport, arrival card, wife ID card, wife home register (blue book), proof of income, photo together at home and one should show clothing hung together and another home number (first time only), bank passbook account and letter of account balance, 4x6cm photo and TM.7 application with 1,900 baht fee. Copies of everything will be required for there files.

Lopburi3 thanks fot the additional info.

We own a house in Nonthaburi so no probs with the blue book but we have relocated to Khon Kaen where we rent an apartment and I had thought of a including photos of both places and including a note explaing the relocation as a lifestyle choice. Would anyone care to comment on this particular aspect?

As you say different offices sometimes differ in their requirements - I intend to submit my application in Bangkok/ or possibly Korat? - thoughts anyone?
