DUS
Hi, Quick question regarding travelling by train these days. I’m considering travelling from Bangkok to Hua Hin by train later this month. Haven’t done so for a long time but when I did I used to buy the ticket on the day of travel. Is that still possible or has anything changed due to Corona etc? treetops
I did this trip a few weeks ago and for the train we took which was C Class only they could only be bought on the day. The higher classes could be bought in advance. There was a form to complete with personal information before you purchase a ticket and these were available all over the station.

I 2nd this, and would like to add that some of the shorter journeys can only be bought on the day due to limited class availability.

sandyf
I would suggest getting the MRT to Bang Sue and the train from there to HH. It is only a few yards from the MRT to the railway station.
