Nong Prue police were called after a 50 year old massage lady riding a bicycle had her phone snatched.

A shocked Jan said that as she was pedalling home she got a Line message on her Samsung A10 and got it out to have a look.

A person on a motorcycle following wrenched it out of her hand and disappeared into the night.

It happened in Soi Praphanimit 6 just after midnight this morning.

The phone was worth 3,700 baht.

Locals helped her contact the police who are examining CCTV in the hope of getting a lead.

Simple lesson yet to be learned by many Thais. Do NOT use a mobile phone when cycling/riding/driving.

A very young kid almost rode into me whilst I was walking through the village recently. Riding his bicycle whilst gawking at his phone. They start down the 'wrong path' very young here.

Hmm, that is one unlucky coincidence...

Her life is probably on that phone hope they catch the sniveling snatch thief and return it ????

Someone she rubbed up the wrong way maybe ..

serves her right for playing on the phone whilst riding a bike.

I bet she said to the nun, "I've never come this way before."

I think using a phone on your bike is good for 100 euros fine in my "home" country

Could have been far worse for her as she could have had her snatch phoned

You would need the 'Hello Kitty' app to enable that......

Poor ladyboy, and no tourists around that can help her to buy a new one.  Life is not easy.

The only thing I can think of you can be fined for on a bicycle in Thailand came out less than two years ago and allows the police to fine you 500 Baht for cycling while drunk.

You make a good point that when it comes to work, they struggle to multi-task, but are more than capable of driving a motorcycle, while caring for a toddler and texting on their phone.

While another mobile massage lady has her snatch phoned.

Her friend said, "I kept calling her, but the c**t wouldn't answer."

It's like snatching a TV that is how big these things are at the moment.

There is a 50% chance that the cameras wont work and a 100% chance that Pattaya Plod will ignore this crime: nothing in it for them.

That put a spoke in his wheel.

Things are getting a bit inflated in this thread. Too much hot air I reckon or are we pedalling too many old jokes. This bike thing is going downhill.

Yes, the old jokes are getting recycled.

A lot of free wheeling then, now you all need to saddle down.

I was also thinking if she gets really fat client for a back massage it will be easy to park her bicycle.
