I'm having a super frustrating experience trying to get a WP3 from the Suratthani Provice Labor Department.

 

Labor Departments around Thailand started issuing WP3's again around July 20, after stopping in late March.  My lawyer submitted my application around July 22, and I'm still waiting for the WP3 to be issued.  Normally, it takes about 3-5 days, for me it's been over 4 weeks now.  The form has been sitting unsigned on the Labor Dept. boss's desk for over a week, and she's just not signing it.  My lawyer calls everyday, sometimes twice, nothing is happening.

 

I personally know 2 people who got their WP3's in July within 3 days (in Bangkok), they're back to Thailand already.  But Surat seems to be different.  My daughter was supposed to start school on August 24, she's now missing that because of the Labor Dept. tardiness.  Very, very frustrating. I'm actually starting to wonder if it's really just tardiness, or if it's intentional.

 

Has anyone recently (since July) successfully obtained a WP3 from the Labor Dept in Suratthani?  Can you please share your experience (how long did it take? anything special you noticed?)
