August 22, 20206 yr I have an old MS Surface RT, which is the first one of that series. It still works but after 8 years the battery is not so good anymore - no surprise. A new battery for that thing cost online about 2000B plus shipping. And for that money I though about buying a newer model Surface, but not a new one. Any old model will be good enough for just looking at the WWW, maybe some easy games like Solitaire, etc. Best case scenario would be if I could buy something like this in a shop in Bangkok. Does anybody of you know about a shop which sells used MS Surface? Another option is obviously buying one online i.e. at eBay. I bought lots of small and new items online including eBay, but never a used item. If I buy one I don't want to get one which is in bad condition. Because if that is the case it might be a lot of headache to send if back (maybe to a country far away) and/or to get my money back. What is your experience? Did you buy any used computer device online? How did it go?
August 22, 20206 yr I am really cheap when it comes to laptops and phones as it is disposable junk that is constantly replaced by newer and better model 3 months later. However, who says that buying a used surface you won't have the same battery issue after 1 month? However, if you must I strongly recommend that you search on shopee, NOT lazada. I have been buying on both and the difference is that with shopee once you receive the item you have about a week to release money to the seller after inspecting the merchandise. Returns are very easy too. The only difference is that you can not use a foreign credit card on shopee.
