Noticed the price of Ginger has increased hugely in last few months . It was around 50 Baht a kilo and this week I saw it at 104 Baht a kilo in Makro

Maybe weather related? All the rain makes it difficult to harvest? Just a guess.

If they harvest now then they lose half the weight of crop, also the ginger won't be ripe so can't be stored for a long time.  Prices will go down in December.

Today it was highest I've ever seen in Makro 125 baht a kilo. Piles of bags not selling
