It is very random, and depends not the price only but also the type of goods (tax ranges from 5% to 35%) and the mood of the customs officer.

I was charged $20 for $200 item, 0 for $300 item, $40 for $700 item, and once even got charged $15 for $50 item.

And many times I had not paid any tax at all.

For my experience you get less chance to get charged if item is posted by the regular Post or EMS, and higher chance if it was posted by courier service like DHL or UPS.

Ask if the seller can use "Thailand Special Line", shipping price all inclusive. Offered by several shippers not just Evereast.
