NON O question

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have been using a Non O visa based upon marriage.

My visa has run out and I am aware I have amnesty up to September 26. I can then apply for an additional 2 months.

With this visa I do not need to report every 90 days because I leave the country.

However, with the amnesty in place, is a 90 report necessary?

(For me, that would be at the Cheang Wattana office)

Thank you for any assistance.

James.

I assume you were writing about a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

Under the amnesty 90 day reports have not been required. If it ends they may be asking for them since you have stayed longer than 90 days in the country.

Thank you Joe.

Yes, the extension to visit family even though I live here.

So it's not necessary for me to do any 90 reports and l shall apply for the extension.

Is there an insurance requirement when applying for a 60 day extension to a multi-entry, non-immigrant O visa permission of stay?

No

Thank you.

Does anyone know how much the fine is for not reporting the ninety days now?

I haven't had a one year visa/renewal but I have been here longer than ninety days since my last visa and extension (expired) 19 April

OP, I realize your question was regarding extension to visit family 60 days.

You should consider your next step after those 60 days.

I would be putting in place financials etc to obtain annual extension based on marriage.

failure to file your 90-day report can result in a fine of 2,000 THB, and can be increased up to 5,000 THB once you get arrested with an additional fine not exceeding 200 Baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with.

You don't need to worry about 90 day reports until after September 26th (if not extended again) and there will be no fines until after that day.

It would be 90 days after that day that you may need to do a 90 day report.
