Pathum Thani police arrested a teenager on Thursday (September 10) for allegedly killing a school security guard day in a fit of anger.

Lam Luk Ka Police Station learned of the murder after the body of Parinya Unsab, 36, was found near a teacher’s house with a fractured skull.

Security guard Tatsanai Ta-Aua, 43, told police that Parinya had previously spoken about arguing with teenagers who came into the school campus to smoke weed.

At around 4.40am on Thursday, Parinya called police to say a group of teenagers had shown up to cause disturbance, but the youngsters had fled by the time police showed up.

After Parinya’s body was discovered, police tracked down a teenager who apparently was in an uncontrollable state. Police then contacted his sister for testimony and put the boy in jail to calm him down.

I don't understand why parents cannot identify when their kids are on drugs...unless they are also users.

It's been a real problem for at least 2 decades.

It's well known about school kids selling ya-ba tablets in the classroom and taking the tabs in the class room.

Also in universities, that I'm aware cases of male & female students popping the pills in the room and getting caught by their professors.

In one of my own classes I was checking on progress in a small teams case study (3, 4 kids), I walked up behind one boy (19 - 20 yo) and he was injecting heroin into his arm with all the other students watching.

In this case I called the uni admin mgr, she came very quickly and called the police. The boy was admitted to a teenagers rehabilitation home.

(He was kept there for quite some time to keep him separated from his parents (which was his wish) and eventually he was able to continue his studies on-line and he eventually graduated with a BBA Bachelor of Business Administration. In addition to his on-line professor I gave him additional coaching through several courses in his program.)

The next class for this course was a few days later, the students wanted to talk about the incident, they revealed that the boy was under big pressure from both his mother and father to sell various drugs on campus and he got punished violently if he didn't reach his sales target.

We discussed it in the class room for about 20 minutes. I encouraged the students to do most of the talking and they conducted a good discussion.

Then one girl suggested the discussion to turn to punishment. I (and the other students) were well aware that she was a key person in a well respected rehabilitation forum.

She listened and then said 'what these guys need mostly is hope'. I've never forgotten her words.

My comment was referring to ya ba as I suspect thats what it was.

Well drugs are certainly a scourge in Thailand but they are also a scourge in the USA and the UK and in all likelihood throughout Europe. One could put it down to hopelessness if it was only the young but while the young prefere heroine  weed and amphetamines the middle aged show a preference for cocaine. Binge drinking seems to be common amongst all classes, ages and genders. Something is wrong in society in general. Honesty, pride, honour and self respect are things of a past age, long gone. There is certainly a lack of spirituality and what was there has been replaced by quick gratification, pleasure instead of contemplation. It is modern and modern is always good. No doubt something will give to take the place of social freedom as humanity doesn't seem to be able to regulate themselves unfortunately.

Taking illegal drugs is NOT an excuse for murder.
