Mobile Providers, Which One For Pay As You Go?

Featured Replies

I'm headed to bkk in December for 4 months and will be taking my GSM phone with me. Instead of using my provider who will charge me an through the roof for calls in Thailand I want to get a SIM chip there. Where is the best place to pick up a chip? Does it matter which provider I use?

Thanks

just buy a one2call sim when you get here, i think they are between 1000 - 1500 bht which includes free credit, i've been using one for 3 years now, you can buy them in any phone shop and the top up cards are available all over the place.

12call(AIS) sim cards start at 400baht(100baht credit) or you can go for a dprompt sim.

wait up a bit if it is december you are arriving as things are changing in the telecoms industry here. you might want to see how these AIS GPRS sims go if you are interested in internet access as well

Try happy dprompt, 2.5 bt nationwide from 0900-1500 or choose 1500-1900 same rate, 5bt at all other times, nationwide, and replacement sim/number the same day if you lose yr mobile.

3bt Intl SMS all day.

Calls to the US, Canada, Alaska etc. 9bt,

Aus 14bt

EU 23bt

DPROMPT

1-2 Call.... do you want to make Chairman Toxin and family, richer and even more arrogant? :o
