MontyJomtien
Hi. An agent has offered me several options to obtain a 90 day visa/extension of stay. One of the options is “90 day item 2.25”. Anyone know what this is?? Best Regards to you all.

Popular Post ubonjoe
I assume the 2.25 is this clause of the immigration order for extensions. "2.25 In the case of receiving medical treatment, attending rehabilitation, or taking care of a patient: A. In the case of receiving medical treatment, attending rehabilitation, or taking care of a patient: Permission shall be granted for no more than 90 days" 1
MontyJomtien
A little confused, as one option was stated as Medical visa, 90 days, extendable up to 12 months, but after which must leave Thailand as cannot apply for a Non O with this type, second option was the 90 day 2.25, which would give me option of applying for a non o upon expiration.. The is no medical visa or extension of stay that will allow you a total stay for up to 12 months. The only way it could go for that long would if you were completely immobilized and unable to travel. Normally they are only issued once up to 90 days dependent upon your medical condition. I think there was confusion between applying for a visa and extension with one for being a volunteer or attending school. 1
from the home of CC
and what if through some course of events this scam is uncovered resulting in that visa being severely curtailed? Don't care that it could mess up the chances for somebody else (who really requires this due to a real illness) in obtaining one? disgusting.. 1

Everyone in immigration is aware this is happening--right up to the highest level. It is all out in the open. There is nothing to uncover. 4

Same goes for all of the other visas/extensions offered by the thousands of agencies.

fishtank
Sounds like an illegal visa to me. I remember the time when it was against forum rules to discuss illegal activities.

Is there a fixed quota of these that must not be exceeded?
